The VCU Honors College serves high-achieving students from all disciplines. With small class sizes, students are able to form close connections with faculty members and their peers. A rigorous curriculum also challenges students to reach their full potential.

“The Honors College is a home, it’s a home for high-achieving students where they can have an opportunity to not just find themselves, but to refine themselves,” says the Dean Scott Breuninger.

Experiential learning and collaboration is prioritized in the college, allowing students to put their learning to practice and make a difference in the larger Richmond community.

“I think probably what I’m most proud of about the Honors College is the way our students feel so passionately about making a difference in their communities and in their fields,” says Breuninger. “And the way that we as an Honors College are able to both nurture those dreams, support those dreams, and help our students achieve them.”
